Be honest. It’s a dark alleyway and you see his figure walking towards you. Do you crap your pants immediately or does it take a few seconds!

That picture says it all and watch the video where he lines up in the backfield and runs forty or fifty yards for a score, playing both ways!

This dude looks like he could even lift Des Watson over his head! He's my pick for first one off the plane on any trip.

Why isn't he a 5*, or at minimum a high 4* ?? IMO, the recruiting services struck out big time on Shivers. He looks like he is ready to play Day 1. I can't remember seeing a massive guy without a lot of fat run like him.

This is a point I’ve been making for a while now. There are so many high school kids and now international kids that recruiting services are only focused on their camp kids. While the star rating does for the most part have a correlation with success at the next level, it is going to miss on more than it will hit. There are simply too many to accurately rate. Many kids send film directly to schools who have interest and college staffs comb the planet looking for those not already high profile. My #1 indicator is the offer list and the coaches associated. If a DB is offered by Saban or a QB offered by Spurrier (I know both are retired, it’s the reason those names were chosen), I’m going to take notice. The fact that Smart was interested in a DL player should be far more telling than his rating. If he went to camps and dominated OL the way he can, his rating would quickly rise.

Remember, VanderGriff (KY QB) was a 5* QB because he threw well at camps. He was passed over at Jawja by a walk on.

I don’t want a QB that Mike Norvell wanted either, but he will hopefully never take serious snaps for us anyways.

do you want me to go write that there for you?

Good lord the standard had dropped so much. Tons of people think three stars are going to save Billy apparently.
We used to be a serious program, yikes.

He was pushed out because they got a top 5 OVERALL RECRUIT recently. Great trade!
