Is it possible the same group of people who are openly defying the law in an election count would have made up something about one of their political opponents too? Let me know when you find those GOP commissioners who are openly violating state election law in counting the votes. They don't count votes. They count ballots. One-day voting, voter ID, paper ballots. We should have way more seats in the Senate and House.

I’d be ok with that IF it was a national holiday and all businesses were required to be off so people could vote. We would also need far more polling stations, volunteers, workers, etc…

 

The national holiday thing is only brought up by people in "non-essential" jobs. Easy for a CPA firm to close. If I get a day off I have to reschedule every customer I have to be made up that week. No thanks.

As far as hospital/emt/police… set up a rotating schedule so some can go early and others later. Again once every four years

 

All my customers are on a set schedule. It's garbage pickup. Any service day that gets missed gets made up and it's a logistical nightmare. People don't stop making trash and it piles up and they don't give a shit what the reason is you aren't there. When Christmas falls on a weekend I'm stoked. Like I said, people who think a national holiday is some quick fix are only looking through their own eyes.

I think it would be smart to make special accommodations for first responders and folks working in hospitals. Hospitals, police precincts, and fire stations would be great locations for ballot drop boxes for these employees.

 

My theory is that democrats are 'finding lost votes' like they always do.
