if you want insight into what Okeechobee is really up to, read the thread he started about the Colorado/ Utah game. It will clear things up. He’s pretty much the only one posting on it, like he’s talking to himself.
The box score is misleading LSU averaged 9.3 yards per pass WE averaged 17.4 yards per pass LSU averaged 2.95 yards per rush 4.00 yards per rush without sacks We average 6.00 yards per rush LSU 1 TD US 3 TD We dictated the game on defense allowing them chickenshit gains and TOP moving the ball, bending but not breaking. We dictated the game on O going over the top (from a hobbled DJ). As an aside, if DJ was mobile as he usually is we would have totally crushed them. Hats off to the team and coaches.
The difference of having Gates, Bridges, and Denson on the field is outstanding. They can be exposed for speed, but the tackling is great. How we can't repace Castell with just any body is beyond my comprehension. The pressure we got against their backup OG was the difference in the game. Had our coaches recognized the qb was hurt on the 3rd and forever at the 5, we could have really pulled away.
According to this, he was at the game. Is it wrong ?Florida football, DJ Lagway impresses Class of 2025 recruits in win over LSU
For all the crap CBN gets for his coaching, he deserves credit for his game plan and play calling with Lagway last night.
DJ’s ability while under pressure to do a snap read and throw is pretty darn amazing. The D is just crazy. It seems like our ends underperform but then we get a bunch of sacks and or forget to cover folks. But we do have a bunch of DB’s hurt. The D is recognizing and attacking plays vs the breaking down and waiting for the plays we had for a couple years. consistent strength training would help many aspects of the team. We really need a long pass to Baugh for an , ohhhh Myyyy DJ to Bau Boom for the TD
There weren’t a lot of LSU fans at the game, and the ones that were there were as subdued as I have ever seen LSU folks. I’ve been to games where our crowd was more consistently loud, but the 3rd quarter on was The Swamp at it finest. It was loud and passionate, and the fans were absolutely a factor when LSU seemed to be on the verge of taking control of the game. My other major take from this game is that while DJ is absolutely not a finished QB yet (there are throws he still struggles with, and he misses some reads), but it seems to me he has that certain factor that few have… (the French would call it Je Ne sais quoi) You could see in Tebow early on. You can’t quite quantify it in absolute terms, you just feel it on a visceral level… of course it possible I’m just still on emotional high from the win, but he just seems to have that “it” factor. One thing that does seem absolutely certain at this point however, is that Napier’s, and UF’s immediate future are inextricably tied to D.J. Lagway.
