They are going to continue blitzing Lagway, unless he can figure out a way to beat their blitz. This sits on the shoulders of Napier. Get some plays where Lagway can get the ball out quick.
Let's keep in mind Lag is still a freshman and we still have a hc who doesn't seem to make adjustments at half. We have abandoned the run and without the threat of running our play action long passes won't work. Lsu's adjustments is putting heat on lag and we haven't countered.
I think people are missing my point. If you fire a winning coach, you cant replace him with multiple losing seasons.
Good second half requires coaching adjustments. Doing anything different ever isn't our coach's strong point. Well, except when it comes to building a staff, where he prefers to do weird stuff like hire no offensive coordinator, a inexperienced defensive coordinator backed by a super executive chief coach or something, and playing 12 men instead of 11.
You do realize any team with 60 to 25 plays loves those numbers? That means the opposing defense has been on the field almost all game. The same defense that doesn't have enough bodies to do a lot of subbing. Eventually, they will start to give up big plays. Offense isn't helping the defense out at all.
Tilly said it earlier, no wheels on DJ really hampers the offense. One dimension is completely eliminated.
Count me in the isolation group for actually thinking he was a good coach who probably should have had more time. I believe he was promised something that did not happen. I have no proof, but something changed
