Safety play is shocking so far

 

I can't believe we don't have another safety better than him. He is soft in coverage AND tackling. I don't know what he does well other than being long and lanky (and slow).

The D-line looks pretty good...Just need to tighten up the coverage.

 

Probably a zone defense... it's a BS thinking thing... players hesitate.

 

Denson was beat on the hesi...Castell is clearly still learning the position.

 

That was a bend but don’t break series where they were hoping LSU would make a mistake on some of those long 3rd down plays. The zone coverage was way too deep. You need to be in playing on the first downline.

Wasn't Asa that safety? Hasn't seen the field since Miami tore him up.

 

Defensive line is one of the least effective pass rushing lines in the league…why we struggle on third down.

 

At what point does the 3rd and Gator stop? So much bs on 3rd down.

I'd kill for a Keanu Neal or Matt Elam right now. Last home game I went to was LSU in 2012 when Elam ripped that ball away from Odell and Gillislee just kept getting first downs. That was a great game.
