Doesn't really matter, but what in that article gives you that impression.

You clearly aren’t a doctor, a PT specialist, or even familiar with modern medicine. Let me help you. Not all sprains are equal. The difference between a grade 1 and grade 3 can be a few days to surgical intervention. It was reported he had a grade 2 which if closer to a 1 than 3 could easily be healed in two weeks.

Now factor that he is an elite and young athlete with some of the best orthopedic specialists possible and it would be foolish to assume any hamstring injury would automatically be 4-6 weeks. The resources available to heal these injuries aren’t what you find in your local PT office. They’re running in zero G machines, using PTS, and BFR that expedite recovery.

Remember when Antonio Morrison blew out his knee and recovery was stated to be 10-12 months and he returned to the field in 6? Gators LB Antonio Morrison ready to lead defense after gruesome knee injury

You’re welcome. Now no math is required.

Where did you read something that would give you that opinion? This article? I didn't see anything. But to be honest, i could definitely see DJ leave if CBN was axed. He was the primary contact aside from Joe Hamilton who was the one that kept consistent and steady contact with SJ and family. But during his recruitment you could just tell by the way DJ raved about Napier that he was the main reason he committed. He bought in right then.

I could also see him potentially stay because of his high character his parents instilled in him. Do for gator nation. But if I was betting man, I'd lean toward leaving, transferring and becoming a schools new shiny toy is all the rage. I mean if he can't have the coach he wants you'd think he might as well just try to win the natty somewhere that is just one good QB away.

Alas, we may never know if Napier doesn’t get fired.

He is most definitely a high character kid and could potentially stay depending on who followed. I honestly don’t recall where I read some quotes from him, but TOS is a possibility. He didn’t outright say he would leave, I remember that, but essentially that CBN and this offense were the reason he was here. Hence, it sounded like he was saying it without saying it. I think if a sketchy character coach were to follow CBN, he would throw deuces.

I’m wondering what the deal is with Johnson. He’s been listed as questionable on the injury report for a month now. Given how the LSU defense has been gashed on the ground the last two games, I believe he and Baugh could ball out tomorrow if he were healthy. They’ve got two LB and two DL out with a third LB listed as questionable. A struggling run defense is perfect for a DJ lead CBN offense. Pound the rock and when the safety creeps up to help, let DJ do his thing. If DJ and Badger are full go, this could get interesting.

Conversely with Pup and half a dozen DBs out, I’d take the over 55 in what will likely be a shootout more than a slugfest.

DJ will be locked in the pocket. The coaches will not design any runs for him. If the RB's can gash LSU w/o the threat of a DJ run, that will be great. If not, it will be DJ's passing that opens up a running game. Let's hope the OL can protect him and that he doesn't re-injure his hammy on a scramble.

In your opinion, and this is probably impossible to nail down, how much difference does the availability of superior treatment make? i.e. can it shorten by 50%?

I wouldn’t say 50% outside of the difference between a talented surgeon and a hack. 20-30% faster however is within the realm of feasibility for PT. As a teaching hospital, UF has access to testing experimental methods to shorten healing time. The biggest flaw in the original statement of the other poster was assuming all sprains are created equal. Also that all individuals heal at identical rates. College kids are at the peak of physical capabilities for healing, which is one of the reasons they can bulk up quickly with muscle mass. Many high school kids hit the gym daily and don’t see near the results they will when they hit college age. Muscle recovery is nothing more than healing of micro tears created through exercise.

You could use this logic for any top QB with a coach on the hot seat. They would not have agreed to play at the school if they didn't like the coaching staff in the first place. We can't assume Lagway feels the same way about Napier today as he did during his recruitment. Experience shows us that things can turn on and off very quickly in a young man's head. Especially when there are so many places ready to throw money at him. Obviously, Napier was able to convince Lagway to commit at some point. We don't know if Lagway's expectations are being met. Perhaps he was sold on the premise we were a team on the rise and better days lie ahead. If he's re-assessed the situation and determined that was too rosy of an outlook, he likely has few moral qualms with changing direction.

OK, thanks. I thought I read Bridges realized he was going to need to dust off his corner skills when he saw Dijon limping off the field last game.

Yeah , that would explain why he busted his ass to return as quickly from an injury many didn't think would , could or should yet here he is back for this important 3 game stretch to end the season. Dude is all in as things are right now. If there's a coaching change who knows.

But why do you try to start a narrative you just created off the top of your head when there hasn't been any signs of him being disappointed in his time with CBN and UF?
