After missing the first three games of the season due to eligibility issues with the NCAA, Slovenian point guard Urban Klavzar has been cleared to play, Florida head coach Todd Golden announced on Thursday afternoon. Klavzar will travel with the team to Tallahassee on Friday to take on in-state rival Florida State.

    Neato.

Players in Klavzar's position are still allowed to practice, workout with the team, do all the typical player stuff, right? They just can't play in games?

“He’ll play tomorrow night, for sure. It’s going to take some time for him to kind of become acclimated and integrate him in with the other guys. Obviously, we’ve played three games, and we have a good flow going. But he’s a high-level player and he’s a guy that we have counted on being a part of this rotation since the summertime since he came to Florida. So, we’ll have to work those kinks out. It will be a little similar to when Zyon came back last year after three games and trying to figure out the best way to get him into the lineup. But again, it will be really nice to have him out there tomorrow night.”

He's probably realistic as to how many minutes are coming his way, based on the early production of Will, Alijah, and Walter. But hopefully he can get meaningful minutes and be productive in those minutes. Will be a lot more PT available next season.

Almost surprising for him to already go out on a limb like that. Sounds like he is bullish on Klavzar.

I haven't read the article, but why does a freshman only get 3 years?

If he plays, seems like he would take some of Aberdeens mins

I think it’s because he played pro ball in Europe for about 10 years.

I really think DA gets a lot of minutes to guard FSUs prolific wing scorer Friday night.

I really don't know where the minutes will come from but it's hard to even have an opinion until we see his game against high major talent.

Lots to tune in for tomorrow.

They're calling him a sophomore. Presumably to account for the time he made money while not contributing to the US GDP

I'd like to see Martin flex his muscles and shut him down.

I'd love to see it. I guess DA only because he's a better height matchup.

Martin has been tapped to guard taller players all the time in his career. He plays taller than 6'-2" because of great wingspan.

Also we’d prefer him to give some fouls vs Martin right?
