Not that understanding what really drove inflation matters now that the people have voted to abandon the rule of law, but this analysis is informative to those still interested in objective truth.
And who shut down the country and put vaccine mandates (at the risk of losing your job) on the entire country? The deep-state Dems did. Many of that vital workforce just quit... and never came back because of the forced mandates.

To the voters responsible for the election of Donald Trump the cause of the inflation is irrelevant. Their rationale was very simple. Prices are significantly higher in 2024 than they were in 2020, Biden was president during the last four years therefore the inflation is Joe Biden's fault. Interestingly the Covid stimulus that may have contributed to the inflation was supported by both Trump when he was in office in 2020 and Biden. In fact, Trump pressured Congress to increase the amount of the stimulus since he was running for reelection at the time.
