Thank you for the correction, sounds quite similar to last Monday too, I'm filing this as "coach speak".

I agree and to take it one step further, for the reasons you stated, it irks me Billy is trying to be all stealthy about it, as if he's being clever. Like forcing Brian Kelly to prepare for Lagway is going to give Warner a measurable advantage. LSU could spend 10% of their practice time prepping for Warner and they'd be solid. And back to your point, Napier isn't fooling anyone. Imagine if he did start Lagway and Lagway pulled the hammy again. That would pretty much do it for Lagway at Florida and our recruiting. The responsible thing to do here is to not play Lagway. Everybody knows that and everybody knows that's what Napier's going to do, because he has to. So, it irks me when Billy acts like he's going to pull a fast one on Brian Kelly with DJL's injury. Just more of the same...

Do most of you guys have the inability to stay on topic?

    Have ADHD?

    Drink too much?

This thread is about the LSU game.

There are multiple threads about firing everyone. Post on one of those.

    Please!! It's boring already.

    I'm interested in the games.

More of the same, indeed. We all know you're irked by Billy's mere existence on the Earth yet here you are telling us again.

My take: (if Warner is the UF QB) LSU will stack the box, stuff the run, and attack the recievers at the line of scrimmage to break up the lateral passes and screens. In this offensive gameplan scenerio, UF is annihilated. Chance to win: 3%, LSU will beat the Vegas spread and will blow UF out, possibly by halftime.

(If DJL) The LSU game plan of defense completely changes. DJL and the UF recievers, can and will, beat LSU DB's on explosive plays, as has been demonstrated repeatedly this season. This opens up the run game for the backs as well. However it is "doubtful" he will be able to scramble or run much (IMO) so that hurts the offense and puts pressure on the Offensive Line. In this scenerio UF "has a chance" particularily if some of the other IR guys are available Saturday on defense, especially the DB's, and hopefully Montrell.

Still a "dog" however even with DJL. UF's defense is ranked very poorly in Power 4 (78th or aro that). LSU is deeper at literally every position. Chance to win: 33% however the game should be competitive into the second half, (maybe) beat the Vegas spread.

I hope there have been trainers working around the clock nursing DJ back towards his old self. As well as, Qigong healers, Reiki healers, Seers, Crystal healers, chakra adjusters, a few hot babes, and harmonic convergence experts. ( I spent a few days in Sedona recently) Not to mention a few Chinese and western medicine experts.

They should play him the clip from animal house: Belushi -"Did the Americans give up when the Germans bombed pearl harbor..."

DJ playing changes everything. Possibly the game, recruiting and the future. I can't wait another year to see anything positive from Napier. Roll him on the field with a walker; anything!

    Go Gators.

It is possible that LSWhoo might have a hang over after getting their asses handed to them last week. If Lags can play we have a chance

Yes, LSU would not be human if there was not a let down after that butt whoopin at home against their nemisis (bama).
Playoff chances are over. Of course if they win out and win a bowl they have yet another 10 win season under Kelly.
Kelly may not be Saban or Smart but he is pretty good at churning out 10 win seasons, wherever he goes.

I have doubts DJL plays a down, although Dave Waters (Gators Breakdown) suggests LSU is perhaps the only realistic shot for UF to have any hopes of a bowl game, so he suggests DJL will play, forget about Ole Miss, they look very formidable, and have much to play for. Of course a bowl also implies a W over FSU.

Anyway, I put the odds at 1 in 3 if DJL plays. I put the odds at 3% out of 100 if Warner plays (and I'm not knocking the kid, but just look at his QB rating against UGA and Texas). Frankly I think UF is staring down yet another 5 - 7 season at best.

Yeah they may be reeling and have lost confidence so it's important we come out swinging. I would love to see our lines hold up.

If the line is still under 10 I assume Vegas knows Lagway starts.

LSU should have 3 losses. Two brutal calls took away two pick sixes from South Carolina.

It pains me to bring this up, but DJ has yet to become a good quarterback. Much of his stats were built up in the Samford game. In 7 games against FBS competition:

    Att------Comp----%-------Yards------TD------INT

    67.............38........56.7.........615.........3...........5

Too many fans remember the greatest hits of DJ without paying much attention to the rest of the game. This reminds me of Rex. Gators remember the long bomb TDs, but not as many seem to remember the several 3-4 INT games he also had.

Next year, DJ may evolve into the hybrid of Danny, Rex and Tim, but this year, he is a true freshman, and against any team with an even solid defense, he would make more than his share of true freshman mistakes.

Definitely possible. However, for several years the gator defense has been the elixir for teams to right their ships when they look down and out, when they are missing starting qbs, when they are beset with injuries, have coaches on the hot seat, or any off field controversy. When a program seems doomed, play Florida and it all seems to come together.

Sadly, I can see LSU coming in and lighting up the scoreboard this weekend with Nussmeier coming out of his slump and a struggling LSU running game and defense having their best games of the year.

Usually that has the opposite effect. A good team will come out with their hair on fire to prove the beat down was an anomaly.
