I think you drawing a conclusion of my understanding of Christianity from a post on a message board is …. Suspect. The notion of Christianity does not include advocating leniency for an abuser of women (Bowden asking for ‘leniency’ for a player who raped and shot a woman). If he did this all the time, fine. But only for an ex player when you sell recruits on coming to a place where “the coaches take care of the boys?” (Keep them off the police blotter). I wish we had more people in this world who emulated Jesus (or whatever religion/construct leads to following the golden rule).
