I also did both, but I root for UCF to win every game except against us. Being a Gator is not a jealous marriage.

There are excuses and then are reasons. You seem to choose to use the total rebuild as being an excuse being made by those who choose to support CBN a little longer while some of us view the rebuild and condition the program was in when CBN took over a significant factor and indeed a reason for the slow progress. And yes, there has been positive growth in this team despite the inordinate, ridiculous number of injuries.
As for Cignetti, he’s done an amazing job at Indiana but, look at their schedule. I’m not sure he’s played a ranked team. If they have it’s not a top ten or even top 15. Has had some nice wins though, including Nebraska and Maryland. But You add apples and oranges comparing their schedule to ours.
I’m a hurting Gator right now but, I’m hopeful we get this thing turned around with what we’ve got. If we don’t start winning on the field, I probably won’t feel the same way.

Between the 2nd half of UGA and 1st half of Texas we were outscored 63-7.

And honestly Georgia isn’t a great football team.

If Beck didn't throw us the ball it wouldn't have been close. Of course, we can only use woulda's for the positive around here.

If we had our starting CB's maybe we wouldn't have given up 6.8 yards per rush. That's how that works right?

Yeah, being vulnerable against the pass definitely would have zero effect on the totality of the defense. Good point.

That period is just a snapshot of the 2024 season.
Please note that I said there was improvement from Game 2 (Samford) up to the Game 8 (UGA).
Let us revist this issue of regression after the final game of the season.

The problems are systemic. Of course, now that he has his endorsement, CBN decided to throw the players under the bus and questioned effort.

Did everyone forget that we were down 33-7 to A&M? That wasn’t improvement. That was Billy getting waxed by a dude that was coaching his third game for A&M. At home.

I have an undergrad and law degree from UF. I was there when SS was the QB. Our daughter has a Masters degree from UF.
Two of our boys graduated from UCF. Our oldest grandchild graduated from UCF. He was the equipment manager for the football team while in school. I always pull for the Gators. I always pull for UCF except when they play against us.
