UF basketball coach accused of sexual harassment and stalking per The Alligator [See Post #521]

Golden led Florida's on-campus practice Saturday in preparation for Monday night's home game against Grambling State. Golden was expected to coach the 21st-ranked Gators (2-0) in that one.

So it looks like he's still around the team.

They also mentioned our two other firings, which I didn't know much about including "Stricklin fired women's soccer coach Tony Amato amid an investigation into the coach's comments and behavior regarding the eating habits and body shapes of players"

Coaches have always talked to athletes about eating habits and body shapes. It's kind of important.
I have to wonder if it's the way in which that message was delivered.

I'm curious about the "rumors" people have posted/tweeted about. Anybody have any insight into those? Like were there rumors of the behavior? Or just that there were accusations of said behavior? Hearing that there were rumors going around for 6 months makes me think it's based on behavior and not just the accusations....especially since the case was filed more recently.

 

The statement from Golden is standard operating procedure by his representative and should be considered as such. Part of his council’s job is also to encourage and cheerlead his client.

 

With everything happening, I encourage fans to follow WBK. We've had 4 McD AA ever, and 3 of them are in the last 2 years. High character coach, players love to play for her, currently on the NCAA bubble.

The two freshmen McD AA are very interesting. The point guard has future star written all over her. Kind of like a young Alijah Martin. Very hard-nosed and physical. Old school PG ball distributor. Lots of tattoos.

The other: Shaq's kid. That alone is a unique, fun story. But she has an interesting game.

The sophomore Reynolds has been injured the first two games. She has a burst to the rim that's fun to watch. Interested to see her sophomore jump.

We then have 6'6" senior Ra Shaya Kyle at center. Dominant player coming off ACL. With good PG play, could work her way into some all conference honors.

If they stay healthy and the young nucleus of talent at the 1/2/3 blow up, our team could move into the top half of the SEC.

Yes it looks like coach has been crushing it on the recruiting trail. Shaq's daughter is interesting because she has the tall genes but is a good shooter too (not saying that Shaq wasn't...oh wait, yes I am )
