I would say not having DJ exacerbates his choice of play calls. Sometimes it seems he goes away from what is working just because.

If you are running the ball well and your QB is average, then keep running the ball. I remember when Mullen beat us in 2010 by running the ball the entire game.

 

Still close enough for ACC refs to step in and protect their cash cow.

We have been running into sta ked boxes all day- not having a throwing threat makes us one dimensional and much easier to stop. Very impressed with our running game, can you imagine if dj was healthy and lots of lite boxes!?!?!

 

Sounds right, I think the money was the biggest issue, big buyout, then to hire a really good coach would cost a ton. I think the way the team has played in the past few games gave SS the opportunity to retain. I'm hoping with that comes the demand to hire an elite OC. Honestly, I don't think uf had any other option due to the huge buyout. I think of all the money SS has paid for BN, his staff, and his army of assistance. All this huge amount of money that has gotten us 2 and maybe 3 losing seasons. This imo is malpractice.

 

Guess their coach wants to get over 50 on us
