Probably one of the least qualified presidents was Abe Lincoln, and he is generally considered one of the best.

As far as most qualified, Jefferson and Quincy Adams are up there. Most qualified to not win is probably Henry Clay, imo.

I was replying to @tilly. I do agree that he was far and away the least qualified presidential nominee of one of the two major political parties in my lifetime and possibly in the entire approximately 230-year history of the Republic. As I stated in multiple posts the Donald Trump who was elected in 2016 was a character created by Mark Burnett and NBC for the reality television series "the Apprentice". He was portrayed as a business genius when in fact he had a long history of failure, had to be bailed out multiple times by his father to the tune of $400 million and managed six companies to bankruptcy. He never held elective office and had absolutely no experience in government.

How about some facts that are so far being ignored. Total votes cast in 2012 were less than in 2008, but close. In 2016 they went up by 6%, then in 2020 they jumped almost 16%, why? We are not yet through counting out west, but indications are we will be considerably less than 2020, again why? I'm the first to say that Trump handled 2020 poorly, so criticism there was warranted. That said, because of Covid, there were a lot of irregularity in voting that opened us to possible cheating. While it couldn't really be proven, the courts dismissed most cases out of hand, without truly looking. That led to the Trump camp to be frustrated to the point of being stupid about it. Let's take a look at the final vote count for this year, but I'm almost sure it will show that something strange took place in 2020. Logic will tell us that cheating must have actually taken place.
Does any thinking person not believe more people voted this year than ever before, because it appeared that way to me.

No logic doesn’t show cheating changed the 2020 winner. This was confirmed by dozens and dozens of courts and multiple audits.

The felon also had Barr as AG looking for election fraud... nope. Had his own private companies looking...nope. Courts only dismiss cases out of hand when as they repeatedly stated, there was zero evidence So on all logical avenues there was nothing but the felon's constant lies.

I find that funny coming from the guy who posted 224 MEMEs since September 24th in the "funny picture" thread about democrats.

Very demur, very mindful. Very (un)hinged?

Like I said, most cases were dismissed outright without really being closely examined. I'm an engineer, so math and logic are my long suits. The final vote count will plainly show that 2020 was an anomaly, but not the trend. If you choose not to wonder why, I believe it's because you don't want to believe it. Election procedures were definitely tightened up this year, so cheating was minimized, but the efforts by Laura Trump helped keep it that way. I'm guessing totals will be somewhere around 152M this year with most of the loss on the Dem side. Trump might not have won the total vote last year, but logic tells me he would have won the Electoral College.
Personally, I prefer to forget 2020, and especially Jan 6th, so my post was just to clear the air on my feelings about why it happened.

Your post simply starts with an outright dishonest statement. "Like I said, most cases were dismissed outright without really being closely examined." The 80 or so courts do not ever do that. It is your method to ignore the obvious... there was exactly no evidence of any widespread fraud. Not to dozens of courts, the felon's AG and DoJ, not to the FBI and not to the private companies hired to find it. Multiple attorneys lost face, credibility and even licenses misrepresenting this issue. I'm sure there are many Pubs who chose to forget Jan 6th but I am also certain that history will not be kind.

Woolly is correct. I live in Atlanta and most of you live in Florida where things are run really well. Trump lost in 2020 but it was not because of 81 million legal votes. The ballots were separated from what was supposed to have matching signatures on an envelope. Once the ballots were separated there was nothing they could do to prove that they were not valid votes. Sometimes cheating wins and you have to accept the results. I know statistics as well and no way anyone will convince me that Biden got 81 million legal votes (12 million more than Obama ever got). My county was one of like 5 counties in the US that ran their operation and it worked. They did well. It ends up better for anyone that supports Trump that he did not serve consecutive terms.

Thanks, I intend to reexamine the subject again when the final totals are actually in. I'll be surprised if it turns out different but will post either way. If I knew how to create a bar-chart on the computer I would add it, but that's beyond my computer skill level.

LOL. What evidence do you have?

We've been through this a thousand times, perhaps you missed it. You don't just get to say how something *seems* to you in this world and, without any evidence whatsoever, expect people to consider it true.

Trump filed approximately 70 court cases and lost them all. So, ummmm, sorry but your feelings aren't all that relevant.

Oh, also; Trump is the only President in US history to attempt to deny the peaceful transfer of power. He tried to overturn a legitimate election..

Let that sink in. Trump is a criminal.

That's pretty much the end of the story. Even though he just won an election, he's still a criminal. No matter what your unsubstantiated feelings are.

LOL - gotcha. It goes something like this; Trump was cheated in 2020, not based on any evidence, but because of......well, voter turn out was extremely high in 2020. So there.*

(*i'd ask for an analysis about how this cheating may have been done - across the board votes added in every state, targeted states? How many state election organizations were outmaneuvered? Except that its absurd. )

LOL, what ?!!! Trump's daughter-in-law, who has zero experience in election organization or security, and zero experience in politics beyond babbling for Donald, prevented all the widespread fraud?!

LOL, no, it's not a cult. I am sadly getting visions of Trump action figures in my head, and the Trump voter moves them around like a kid with GI Joe. "Here's Lara preventing fraud!!" :)

Yeah, no shit. Your criminal incited his followers to attack our government, and 100 cops were injured. It was most likely the most un-American thing since the Civil War.

But you voted for that criminal anyways. You must be so proud.

You forgot to add your closing sentence. It goes like this; "Just don't ask me for any evidence."

But hey, ya know - evidence is important. Really important. What if, like.....someone alleged something really bad about you. You'd want them to be able to produce some evidence.

It's kind of a universal thing.

Oh wow, you should have immediately informed the Dept. of Justice, or the FBI or any of several dozens of notable attorneys or even Raffensperger of this voting irregularity only you knew of. I suppose this time the Democrats while in power, just forgot to steal this election?
