It is what it is. I think it's the wrong decision but it's my decision to make.

Agreed. You know when a coach has “it”. I knew HBC would be successful the day he was hired. Same with Urban. I know that not all coaches are at that level. For those critical of the fans for wanting a change, go back in just Florida Gators history and look at the winning percentage for coaches after 3 years and see how Billy stacks up.

    Don't be doubtful.

There was no serious attempt, at this time, to woo Lane.

He isn't the best option anyway, if and when they do move away from Napier.

And it isn't just Stricklin driving the bus

This is what you stated without any evidence whatsoever:
"In reality, the average fan is not quite as down on Billy." You know this how?
I didn't just say multiple sites. I said I had talked to many who were ready for him to go, and few are bashful about saying so. Do you think the posters on these sites aren't average fans? Personally, I think they probably are pretty representative of the numbers of Gators who are ready for Billy to go. I've said before, and I'll say it again. I'd love it if he turned the program around and is successful. But, he's truly not shown that he's capable. It's great that his players haven't given up on him and are playing hard, and if he comes back, I'll cheer for the Gators as hard as I ever had, but I hope we're not having this same conversation next year.

Biggest turnaround in college football history at the time. Kind of the polar opposite of what fsu has done.

Look, I'm tired of this debate.

I think Napier deserves a 4th year. I think the powers in UAA feel the same way. If things fall completely apart in our final games this season that may change.

But I think he gets next year.

And Stricklin is going nowhere until the end of 2025, if then.

No one on this board seems to get that the people that call the shots like both Napier and Stricklin. They think they are good people. They also think Stricklin is doing a good job overall.

This was minor but just a reminder to everyone . . . no politics. Thanks.

    Wrong year.

It’s funny how everyone says Norvell is nothing without Travis and Mario is nothing without Ward.

Elite QBs can overshadow poor coaching.

    What is Napier without DJ?

I just spoke to a friend of mine who is in one of the skyboxes and he said unless the team totally collapses and looks like crap that Billy will stay. He did state that they have to look, at the very least, very competitive against LSU.

Hold on. Those UAA people really liked Zook and Muschamp who had much better success. Why the double standard?

Take into account in another year USC, FSU and OU might be looking for a HC as well.
