I think she could have picked one or two significant issues and say that she disagreed with Biden on them and argued them in private but Biden went the other. In a Harris Admin, they would take a different path. Could have been OEF or border policy. Just enough to have a different answer on what she would do differently in a Harris Administration.

Although the border and the economy were both negatives for Biden and in effect for Harris as a proxy for Biden the economy was the more significant of the two and I'm not sure Harris could have differentiated herself from Joe Biden with respect to that issue although she tried to do so by saying that she would investigate corporations for price gouging. To the swing voters who ended up voting for Trump Kamala Harris was a proxy for Biden insofar as the economy was concerned. In both the 2020 election and the 2024 election the argument was made that a large percentage of voters who cast their votes for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris respectively did so because neither one was Donald Trump. I would argue that in the 2024 election the opposite was the case. This time around a number of the voters who cast their votes for Donald Trump did so not out of love for Trump but because he wasn't either the President or the Vice President that was responsible for bringing them the economic hardship associated with higher prices. According to one exit poll over half the voters who voted for Trump did so because they suffered economic hardship under the Biden administration.
