Well, that's why I said it depends on how he feels. He can tell if he's good enough to give it a go, plus you make adjustments depending on what you injured. Some injuries made me play smarter and more efficiently, because I couldn't rely on athleticism as much.
The strange aspect is the injury and then needing to be carted off the field. That is very rare for a hammy right? Has to be a pretty severe injury not to able to walk off on his own or even with assistance.
Technically, he has had one losing season: Rebels went 4-5 in 2020. Yes, it was shortened due to COVID, but you made a factual statement which was inaccurate. As for his overall record of 39-15 regular-season games at Oxford: strong teams (5-9) Alabama 0-4 Florida 0-1 Georgia 0-1 LSU 2-3 Texas A&M 3-0 weaker teams (21-7) Arkansas 3-2 Auburn 2-2 Georgia Tech 2-0 Kentucky 2-1 Louisville 1-0 Mississippi State 3-1 Oklahoma 1-0 South Carolina 2-0 Tennessee 1-0 Vanderbilt 4-0 Wake Forest 1-0 cupcakes (12-0) Austin Peay 1-0 Central Arkansas 1-0 Furman 1-0 Georgia Southern 1-0 Liberty 1-0 Mercer 1-0 Middle Tennessee 1-0 Troy 1-0 Tulane 2-0 Tulsa 1-0 UL Monroe 1-0 He's definitely had a few good wins, but that's a lot of padding there --- he hasn't won a "big game" yet and I don't consider him impressive. The Gators' SOS for the last several seasons has been consistently harder. As for the post-season, he beat Indiana & Penn State while losing to Baylor & Texas Tech. I admit they're doing well this year, and if they win out and get at least one victory in the playoffs, I'll sing a different tune. Fun Fact: Lane Kiffin's first game as head coach for the Rebels was a home loss to UF in which the Gators never trailed.
Nice try at a spin. Fun fact, I was actually correct. Ole Miss was 5-5 in Kiffin's first season, bowl games count. He is 41-17 overall at Ole miss and more importantly 23-15 in the sec. Compare that to Napier's record, which was my point. Btw, I was at that game in Oxford when the Gators beat ole Miss. Perhaps you don't recall but Mullen was coaching the Gators that day. Will be interesting to see how the matchup goes this year.
Yep, not alot of impressive victories there. Take away the cupcakes and they have been average at best. He needs a big win this year as this is as good as theyve been.
You have to love this board. This thread is about the status of DJ's injury prior to a big game with Texas, but half the posts are about fire him/don't fire him/hire him/don't hire him. Sheesh. Aren't the other four threads on these topics enough for you?
