I just meant it in the sense that it was based off a quote in 2020 that she was dumb to have given at all since the President probably wouldn’t (and possibly couldn’t) make tax-funded sex change operations available to immigration detainees in the first place. But, because she was trying to out-progressive Cory Booker in the meaningless part of the 2020 primary, she put a bunch of nonsense and unpopular policy positions that she couldn’t effectively run away from on the record.

If your theory is true (and I don’t have reason to dispute it) then this is largely Biden’s fault for running for a second term. He initially ran as a one-term President. Instead, when he dropped out there was no viable alternative that could have (potentially) been found had there been a full blown primary.
