In and out in 20 minutes at 7:25 am this morning. I’m in a pretty small precinct so not much line.

Just swung by the dog park that is behind our precinct. No line. Did not look busy at all.

My dog may have committed an election crime as she was excited and wanted to say Hi to the Democratic greeters/volunteers and took out a couple Harris yard signs.

Zero minutes. I have learned election night voting has no line here.

My precinct was flowing well this morning. I went around 11 to beat the lunch rush. No line, no wait but a perfect 1:1 ratio of people checking in and poll workers - about a dozen and everybody was fully engaged. Running like a well oiled machine.

My wife is volunteering as a poll watcher / voting rights attorney. She's monitoring a precinct at a community center in Sunrise, FL. It's her 3rd or 4th election doing so. The clerk at that precinct has run that same location for 4 presidential elections. Ran very smoothly. The clerk mentioned that they had a ton of first time voters turning out, and many more young voters than typical in previous elections. It's usually majority old people. Their line got up to about a 30 minute wait late in the afternoon as people started getting off work.

What kind of voting machines do people have? We have touchscreens and when you hit submit it prints onto a roll of paper tape.

Some years ago we had the punch ballots.

The absentee ballot is color in the dots.

This. Best impact of early voting. Lines are non-existent. Brought my underage son with me to show him the process (he’s eligible next time). Super friendly workers. Overheard people opposite me misinterpreting one of the amendments. Had to bite my tongue.

    Go GATORS!
