Either way, Napier wins. $$$$$$ no matter what happens to him.

true unfortunately. As I've said before, I don't know who the hell negotiates these contracts and how it's considered normal for a public school coach to have 8-figure buyouts. It's beyond absurd.

    Its ab
surd but its the way it is. Hire a complete nobody or pay up and hope for the best. Maybe theyll figure out that coaches dont win with inferior rosters. Our roster is finally getting some talent. Blow it up.

Just a thought - what would the effect of firing be on the players? Would Lagway stay?

Correctamundo. The best thing our administration could do for our recruiting would be to come out and say they recognize the turnaround we’re finally seeing and Billy’s job is secure through 2025. The uncertainty and instability is devastating to recruiting

Because there were all these great OCs lined up ready to come to UF and Billy ignored them all, right?

Did anybody really think we were going to beat UGa in ‘22 and ‘23? Come on man, find something else to bash Billy about. Hey better yet, don’t

Brings up that existential question for admin regarding Gator football: are we serious about competing or are we not?

So by all means he should have had Warner hand off 3 times and punt on 4th and 6. I’m sure everybody would not be bitching if he’d only done that

I agree that something needs to be done right now, but I'm not sure what that is... I still can't get past the Tennessee game. If I knew those days were over, I would be way more inclined to think about hanging on to CBN. Good thing I have nothing to do with the hiring/firing process... I get to just sit back and bitch about things on the forums! :D

I'm also glad I have no responsibility connected with that. There's at least 30 teams out there that would like to legitimately be playoff contenders, and most of them are going to fail.

I posted a quote from Billy’s press conference, saying nothing else (literally said “just leaving this here”), and you say this is “bashing Billy?” Your snowflake personal sensitivity about Napier is bizarre as a bare quote of his words being labeled “bashing” is nonsensical. Get over it.

That is so important. The “ones” have been playing better recently (hopefully it’s continues), but we’ve seen no evidence of Billy being even an average game day coach. He’s still a certifiably bad OC and has a track record of poor game management.

Over the next 4 games it’s important we see improved game management regardless of W/L

Very few UF coaches started their tenure with a losing season and very few continued with it. Most showed improvement from 1 to the next.

He's not a good coach. Yes, great culture guy and clearly kids are playing hard NOW. Day late and dollar short IMO. It's not translating on the field and not in recruiting. It's not the recipe for a long term stable regime.
