    1) My father smiles quietly in heaven at your kind words.
    2) Eventually, we broke up, somewhat bitterly at the time. About 15 years ago we reconnected randomly and I enjoy a civil and respectful relationship with her now.

Her memories of the events leading up to the game are not as clear as mine.

I tend to be skeptical of memories, especially my own. I tend to desire precision in expression. There are times in my life when my memories and impressions are quite vivid, and the week in the story above stands out quite clearly. Ranger School is another such time. I have a 100-plus page Word doc of my Ranger School story. I share it with anyone I encounter that was with me in that time (classmates, instructors, cadre), to a) validate my memories and B) gather theirs into the narrative. I'd say I'm batting 90% on accuracy, based on their feedback.

Lol...I cant wait for 1-8 this weekend...then #8 ND will be 1-9. They can hang their hat on their lone victory at home versus mighty Cal which required several missed field goals and some spectacular ACC official intervention to secure the last minute win. Then there is juggernaut Charleston Southern....oh they are licking their lips for that big win over an inferior team (Im referring to Charleston Southern as the team who is licking their lips by the way). 1-10 Baby..they're back.

You might like this movie. I found it average (particularly the way it was wrapped up in the ending), but it's pertinent to your observation regarding memory.

Here is a crazy for you wing...or very sad stat if you're FSU. They have 5 rushing TDs total all season COMBINED among all players on roster in 9 games

Jaden Baugh had 5 TDs in 1 game. The wheels have really fallen off up there.

And Lagway has thrown for nearly as many passing yards as the whole FSU team . And that is with 2 starts and rotation duty in DJs 7.5 games.

They have an open date, then a cupcake before prior to our game. Basically, 3 weeks to get players healed up and game plan for us. We have Georgia, Texas, LSU and Ole Miss in succession with no break. So yes, we should beat FSU but, our schedule puts our team in a gunfight with the sun in their eyes.
I still think we beat their sorry behinds.

They have a strange record this year. They are 4-4 with one point losses to NC State and Miami and a 2 point loss to Pitt. The loss to the Noles is baffling.
