Ra Shaya Kyle was all smiles in her return to the court for the Gators. Kyle's 2023-24 season was cut short due to injury making Florida's exhibition her first contest in 10 months.

We didn’t shoot well during the exhibition, but any chance to get on the court against different players is good. Ra Shaya and Laila got to see the floor…I don’t think that they played in the closed scrimmage vs NCST. It looks like they are definitely still developing chemistry and coming into their own and I think that we are going to be pleasantly surprised by what Kenza can add off the bench and also think Jeriah is posed to have a big year. I expect the freshman PG to improve as the season goes on and she gets used to the pace of NCAAW and learns her teammates movements and such. Apparently we beat NCST pretty good and 2 of our projected players stayed out as a precautionary measure so that’s gonna give a better picture of how we look against D1 opponents than the exhibition game. The rotation will not leave much room for injury or otherwise but if they can stay healthy I think we have enough players who can really contribute
