It’s not “purposely prejudicial”, you raised the prospect of “slipping” a woman an abortion pill. I view “slipping” a woman a date rape drug as the next closest adjacent. Both are violating her autonomy and individual rights. The crux of the issue in both cases would be the UNWANTED sex and the UNWANTED termination of a pregnancy. Both would be horrific traumas to the woman (just as forcing a woman to remain pregnant may cause trauma). Not sure why you are “downgrading” the metaphor to Benadryl or slipping something without purpose. Slipping an abortion pill would obviously have a very specific purpose. I mean… come on. At least try to be intellectually honest.
That, and the fact Obama was a well liked and mostly successful President. No drama Obama. Your mindset almost comes of entitled or lacking in self-awareness. Like, Romney deserved the White House save for that dastardly media. The reality is that was an election between to actually excellent candidates (those were the days), but one happened to be the incumbent.
Only thing in my life I’ve ever felt entitled to is my opinion and that opinion was that Romney was a terrible candidate then and said so. Romney bush and McCain all the same. Slightly revisionist history about ‘excellent’ candidates. The left trashed Romney as misogynist during the race. Hardly excellent until he lost then he was anointed an excellent candidate.
Yeah, this stuff is how you know many of them don't even believe their own rhetoric. I half-respect the crazies who say you should imprison people for murder for abortion. At least they are consistent.
Yeap. If you really believe abortion is the same as killing babies, then you should be 100% fine with putting women who have abortions on death row. But every ‘abortion is killing babies’ hypocrite gets weak at the knees when presented with that reality.
I have no interest in trying to soften the description to make me feel better. There's nothing feel-good about abortion.
I don’t recall much (if any) trashing Romney as a “misogynist”. He always seems classy, so not sure where that would come from. I remember the dog thing. Don’t think that was impactful, just kind of crazy/amusing. The main argument I can recall was against his business pedigree, that he was in effect a “corporate raider” who frequently cost people their jobs or made moves to send production overseas. That argument stuck, esp with the country still clawing back from the Great Recession at that time. It was also mostly true given his private equity record, even if Romney’s only “crime” was operating in the system to his advantage. At times he probably also a saved jobs, but on net he was surely a job exporter with what he was doing. I don’t recall any Republicans doing anything but go to the mat to defend Romney’s business record in 2012. But I guess now they’ll all tell us he was a filthy globalist they never liked anyway, even worse than the dems framed him.
Is it right to ask a woman to be a "living coffin" when a fetus has become non-viable, potentially placing her life in jeopardy or causing her body life-altering damage?
Question: since the government is supposed to count all people in the census, why are fetuses not counted then? We definitely count babies and children.
I don't care how the law defines a 'baby'. I don't care how doctors define a 'baby'. I know what a baby is. You do too, you just don't want to admit it.
Interesting. So you know better than doctors and governments about the concept of development of people? On what background do you base this? Your feelings?
Of course it isn't. No question that abortion needs to be an option in some situations. A total ban (if it actually exists anywhere) is unacceptable.
I take it you're for absolute abortion bans then? No exceptions for rape, incest, women's health, etc.?
