If I saw correctly the "secret" Kansas vs Arky scrimmage was played in front of a sold out Bud Walton Arena. I guess when Self and Calipari are involved the rules are off.
Looks like we ran more 3 guard lineups in the 2nd exhibition. Only 26 minutes from Richard and Brown.
Kajus played 12 (presumably at the one) and Aberdeen (a team high!) 28. Abderdeen can really play 3 positions, though, so it is hard to tell without knowing the exact combinations. Condon being able to play helped sort things out, too. Looks like Haugh did not play at all at the three, though. We'll see if that holds up (I am inclined to think it will). This rotation is much closer to what I expect. Maybe Klavzar replaces Kayus, Brown drops out, and the vets (Clayton, Martin, Richard, Condon) get more minutes.
I'm curious to see when/if the NCAA Gestapo grants Klavzar eligibility. Also curious to see if Klavzar is granted eligibility, what happens to any minutes for Kublickas. so many guys...so few spots...good problem to have
1 week from tonight we'll get to see this with our own eyes. Feels like being 8 and Christmas is in a week. Can hardly wait
I'm a little surprised Haugh didn't get at least a few possessions at the three, if that's truly the case.
He has wide shoulders and long arms. With his quickness and motor, that will make him an exceptional defender. He's going to get the toughest assignment every game.
I really don't know his game well yet, but I get Marcus Smart kinda vibes. An absolute vicuous attack hound and a guy you love - if he's in your team.
