SEC GAME THREAD: (5) Texas at (25) Vanderbilt, Sat. at 4:15pm on SECN

I had a feeling about UT possibly being in for a rough time today, and I still think even after this narrow escape that they lose at least one more in the SEC. FTR, serious respect to Vandy and Clark Lea for the poise and fortitude they brought today. It's a little surprising TBH, but UTw could be in for some tough sledding if they stumble against any SEC team they will face in the regular season - particularly after the struggle they had in Nashville. They will probably shoot for a dominant showing against UF to right the ship after a near miss against a vastly "inferior" Vandy roster. What that says about the team cohesion, leadership and coaching of either of those programs in this moment is open to fair discussion. I'm really impressed with CCL as a youngish HC with some nascent indications of successes yet to come, and what he's already put together at VU.

 

You got it. Vandy is for real. Im glad we dont have to play them. Billy can still save his ass because of the way things are playing out. Field a team that can compete for the rest of the schedule...
I want him gone but he has a small chance here. He's blown every chance he's been given. I expect him to do it again.
