Wait. This is different from the 11,780 illegal votes needed to be found in 2020, that cost Trump the state?

I guess I was wrong. The election was STOLEN!

 

It should be zero… but makes one wonder about the 527 vote margin in the 2000 election.

I’d argue this is functionally zero. And it would absolutely be functionally zero if not for the Electoral College. That being sad, the nine referenced voted more than 10 years ago.

“The nine noncitizens believed to have cast ballots did so before 2016, according the secretary of state’s office.

No noncitizens have voted in Georgia in recent years, said Gabriel Sterling, chief operating officer for the secretary of state’s office.

“One of the reason the secretary ordered this non-citizenship audit is to prove to people that, while there are ways that someone can get on, it is ceasingly rare,” Sterling said. “There is no proof that there is an overwhelming number of noncitizens on the rolls.”​

 

Valid points about statistics, which we will agree. Absolute zero is a fiction. The talking point from one side of “fraud and stolen election” is a scourge on our democracy. Effort to reach absolute zero at all costs is also dumb when that party is against taxes. The EC isn’t going away.

 

Yeah, there are probably more valid/legally cast votes thrown out in any given election, but I dont see many people making the case to turn that into zero (unless there is a small margin recount)

 

Several studies in the past 25 years have shown election fraud to happen somewhere between 1 in 50,000 and 1 in 100,000 votes. To put this in context, with 156 million votes in 2020, the expected fraud totals would be between 1,550 and 3,100 total votes. Not enough to overturn a single state, let alone multiple states.

The GA data backs this up. A non-citizen voting is only one instance of fraud, but the numbers are so minute, that along with all the other instances of fraud, it's really not a problem. It's only an issue because Trump lost, and he couldn't deal with that reality.

 

To be fair, only missing by 2 orders of magnitude would be more accurate than most right-wing claims these days.

 

Georgia should immediately waste millions of dollars on election police like DeSantis did to purge those 20. Probably only cost them 5-6 hundred thousand per illegal vote.

 

This is why Republicans love fake problems. They can complain about Democrats causing them and then as soon as the Republicans win they can say they fixed it and everyone stops talking about it.

Ratburger promised the Trump team in 2020 they would c9nduc5 an audi with signature verifications. Still hasn't been done to my knowledge
