The problem is we are paying Billy to run our program. We need a too paid coach that wins. Is he on tgat list or is it going to be an up and comer. We’ve had four up and comers in a row. Still not sure we get one of the guys on tge list. Maybe we at least kick a few tires there and see if we get any interest. DJ is some good bait.

 

Why make a harder schedule when we don't have to make it harder?

I also believe that Sankey and the SEC will NOT add that 9th SEC game until the network (ESPN) puts up more money for that extra SEC game. It makes sense to stay with an 8 games schedule.

 

A little off topic but IMO it makes NO SENSE to have an SEC championship game anymore. Irregardless of an 8 or 9 SEC regular season schedule. There are plenty of potential scenerios, with the playoffs, that teams could play one another 3 times. AND the playoffs are expanding. Get rid of conference championship games. This is not College Basketball.

also I’ve ran into max brown and Charlotte like 3-4 times in the playoffs on ncaa25. He won the Heisman in one of them.

High school football in Texas has always been a big deal, especially in smaller to medium size towns.

 

I’ve always loved the sec championship but there no way to set the two teams with no divisions and totally unequal schedules.

 

When a few of the "uppity programs" get screwed in playoff seatings, due to nonsensical conference championship losses, and the playoffs expand, I predict these contests will go "bye bye".

 

I did too before college football was turned upside down and murdered for profit.

Profit doesn’t bother me so much as that’s been going on for decades. It’s the portal that has turned it to crap for me. Stuff like Etienne makes it really bad. He is a prime example of what’s wrong. If a kid wanted out bad enough to sit a year, more power to him as I don’t like kids getting buried like what almost happened to Trask.
