Woodruff was a UT alumnus who held a double grudge against UF. Not only did he get fired as HC, but then UF stole away Doug Dickey who Woodruff had hired as UT's coach and had won 2 SEC titles in 5 years and was looking like a perennial SEC power. UF hiring him away had both UF and UT struggling in the 1970's

Last three years we have parked at garage on south side of Archer Road at Dale Lemmorand. For some reason they decided after the Miami game this year to stop left turns onto Archer Road heading west coming out of the garage. It had caused a mess for us. Always was a snap for us to jump on Archer then head west and connect to SR 121 to Dunnellon, via Williston. Sure that had their reasons but Damn!

 

I think if you go out the south side to SW 16th you can turn right and then get on Archer at the light where 16th terminates

 

I have no respect for these governing bodies and their sheer inconsistency, therefore, '84 and '85 are championship years and imo should be regarded as such.

 

In my mind we have 11 SEC titles.

That’s not irony. That’s a coincidence.

Irony is simply when something unexpected in literature happens.

i.e. A writer for a famous book on why marriage is horrible for you gets married. (Simply something an unexpected thing and some often people mix it with coincidence).

To hear a bunch of non-ironic things, listen to the song “Isn’t it Ironic” by Morrisset with what she thought was ironic things but they I think are all tragic coincidences.

Ironically, a song about irony with no ironic tales is in itself ironic.

Minimum UF should list the 84&85 Gators as SEC Champs & CONSENSUS National Champs!

We were treated inconsistently with precedence by the SEC. In 1957 Auburn won their first SEC title and the NC while on probation for buying players.

Auburn was so upset with Coach Shug Jordan they named the stadium after him!

In 1992 the Bams won the SEC & NC, but nothing happened when the found out Antonio Langham was being paid.

I 1999 they won the SEC & when Mike DuBose was caught cheating nothing was done to take their title.

 

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think UGA's Vince Dooley led the charge to strip us from the 1984 SEC title.
Just another reason to depise the butt sniffers.
