CBN said in pregame interview that they would do the same this bye week. Adding the fullback was a nice twist. Hopefully we'll see more new stuff in Jax and Lagway steps it up even more. I like him taking chances on long balls but a lot of his short ones need to throw out of bounds.
It seems we are a better team now than when we played Miami. Another shot isn’t going to happen but I’d like our chances.
By no means do I seek to diminish our blowout victory, but I really do think Stoops's comment about the NIL after the Vandy loss was tantamount to him saying "if I could buy some better players than these scrubs I have now, we would've beaten Vandy." As goofy and ho-hum as Napier is, Stoops was like the polar opposite with that comment and I think his team responded in kind. I would enter the portal immediately if my coach made a comment like that in a press conference. Don't be surprised if UK doesn't win another SEC game all year. Those boys played their hearts out against UGA and Ole Miss and Stoops goes on and says that after a tough loss to Vandy. Disgraceful.
We have four though that appear to be good backs. It’s nice to have the depth and it not really hurt. Jackson and Webb are good backs too.
I don’t like cupcakes anytime but it’s still needed to get our feet under us. We are finally settling in and seemed to have progressed since Miami. I’m not sure we should be expected to beat any top 10 teams yet but it seems far more likely than it did a month ago.
I became a little concerned on the last possession we had when the game was out of reach. Jackson was in game and running the ball. I was saying to myself, "What are we doing? Get him out of there before he gets hurt." Which, on the next play, they put Carroll in.
Losing Jason Marshall is no small loss. It's encouraging that his replacement took an interception to the house soon after entering the game. The defense is currently playing at a le The writing is on the wall for sure.
I predicted a 5-7 season in the prediction thread before the season began. I'm standing by that. I think the odds are I will be correct. If there is something I post that is untrue, feel free to debate me on it. But it sounds like you just can't handle anyone else's opinion but your own, which is actually a sign of self-loathing, because everybody knows that nobody has all the answers. So, if you think you do, then you're compensating for something.
Then you don’t hate being that guy — one way or another you are that guy. We play a complete game on O and on D and beat Kentucky by 4 TDs and there you are, shitting all over anything you can shit on. It’s who you are
Show up in the trenches and it will be a ball game. Their skill players offensively DO NOT scare me in the least. That game WILL be won or lost in the trenches
Kentucky held the puppies in check so it’s not impossible. Unlikely but come out swinging and be ready for 15 rounds of body punches.
For Miami and aTm it's not that we just lost, it's that we were more or less dominated from start to finish.
