Great win for the Gators. Got decent pressure on the QB in the first half. Less so in the second half. I would really like to see the pressure ramp up as the game goes on.
And the thing that really impresses me is they have not quit on the staff or the team and they really, really pull for each other. You can see that on the sidelines. Credit Billy for that special sauce. “Wes Chandler was Percy Harvin before Percy Harvin was born.”
They always have since I’ve been posting here. It is fine I guess it should be expected at a rival message board. Appreciate it Wing.
I heard chatter that a bunch of them wouldn’t show up but they were there in force. I was impressed and happy they were there. Talked to several before the Gator Walk and let them know that us Gators that were in school with them were glad they “came home”.
They were so pumped up on Gator Walk...was so happy to see them come home...they are very special to our Gator history
Just listening to Zach and Nick cover sitting on the ball at the end of the half. I agree with Nick: right thing to do. DJ was 4-11 with a nasty pick returned deep. Get him to the locker room, sort things out.
I know transitive property doesn't work. But for fun. Ole Miss had 353 yards on UK, at home. We had 476, even with a last drive to just run out the clock. Two true freshmen in the backfield. Florida is a different team since the bye. Starting to be a different offense with DJ. What if there's another jump during this bye? Barber and Tre get healthy, Montrell returns. Most of all: DJ settles in. Does our offense have another jump that can hold for a month?
Why is it clear "we should have lost those games." I understand your point but that is an absurd statement. Miami had a 3rd year coach playing on the road. Regrettably, they are good but they should have lost to tech and Cal. aTm has a coach in his first year. Florida was in position to be Tennessee but the coaching literally cost them points. Saying florida should have lost any of those games absolved the coach from any responsibilities for our record. It's just not true and it's the antithesis of competition.
I'm speaking from numbers. Based on the results to date, it makes sense that we lost. Those teams are...better than us. Your feelings say, well, they shouldn't be better than us. Ok. We should be better. But we're perhaps not as terrible as it seems, nor as terrible as some posters are locked into thinking.
