He had some marvelous plays. He’s a prime example of why I don’t believe in angrily trashing kids when they commit to other schools over us. You never know if they’ll end up on the Gator roster at some point.
It’s obviously water under the bridge now, but the anger was certainly understandable then. He did the staff dirty.
Yes, and I hope people realize that and refrain from trashing the kid if he struggles in run support. Dude needs to room with Dees for a semester!
In obvious passing situations putting that kid in the game seems a no brainer unless he is utterly untrustworthy. And if he’s getting 2 picks per scrimmage on the scout team, sounds like he had put in a lot of work.
He's got a lot of quick. He had that ball and was 20 yards ahead of the receiver before the guy knew what just happened.
I feel like that taste of success on the big stage is going to drive him even more. What a great redemption story we have brewing. I also do quite enjoy taking Deion’s former player that he denigrated and turning him into a success.
I don’t think he did anyone dirty, he made the best choice for himself and his family at the time. That type of vitriol will never be understandable to me, but maybe that’s just me.
I think it was a little bit dirty the way he did it, but at the time I remember thinking to myself good riddance... if you don't want to be here don't come here. Glad to have him back, though. His path to this moment is going to serve him well. I think he understands now how quickly it can all fade away, and how great it feels to be on top.
Cover skill potential is unbelievable. But he also looked lost on assignments a couple of times....got chewed out by the DB coach after one play (coach also lost his mind celebrating after the pick 6) and the nickel or safety had to direct him somewhat. If he can put it together look out, but there's a reason he didn't play at Colorado last year and been scout team here. With Marshall and Jakeem out and Moore pretty fragile, we need him to figure things out.
I attribute that to lack of experience. He’s got some things to work on but the immense talent is there.
