I think that most of us have seen what Hurricane Milton did to Tropicana Field's roof.

I wonder if paying money to fix it is worth the cost. That place is a dump. They fielded some really good teams and couldn't draw fans. I felt bad for the players. The could host a playoff game and have many empty seats.

The question is what to do in the interim as the new ballpark will be built in a few years.

What any Florida native would do in that circumstance, blue tarps!

Think rays ownership would prefer Canada.

If the Rays have such small crowds aren't there plenty of minor league parks within a few hours that they could work something out with and their schedules? Maybe if they tour around between several different parks in the west and central Florida area they might increase their attendance before going into the new stadium. I get most of the parks are owned or affiliated to one certain organization but there's got to be a few choices out there. That said, I hate to see them end up at Disney WWS

Think their spring training park is nearby. Other teams will likely throw fits about playing in a tiny park though.

Tropicana Field was built to try and lure the White Sox there. Now the White Sox are a fitting team for a truly horrible ballpark.

  14. It's in Port Charlotte. Logistically playing at the Yankees spring training stadium (Legends Field) which is right across from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa would make a ton of sense but it only has 10,000 seats.

Maybe they can move to Gainesville and play at Condron Ballpark for a few years?
