WASHINGTON (AP) — Mitch McConnell said after the 2020 election that then-President Donald Trump was “stupid as well as being ill-tempered,” a “despicable human being” and a “narcissist,” according to excerpts from a new biography of the Senate Republican leader that will be released this month. McConnell made the remarks in private as part of a series of personal oral histories that he made available to Michael Tackett, deputy Washington bureau chief of The Associated Press. Tackett’s book, “The Price of Power,” draws from almost three decades of McConnell’s recorded diaries and from years of interviews with the normally reticent Kentucky Republican. The animosity between Trump and McConnell is well known — Trump once called McConnell " a dour, sullen, and unsmiling political hack.” But McConnell’s private comments are by far his most brutal assessment of the former president and could be seized on by Democrats before the Nov. 5 election. The biography will be released Oct. 29, one week before Election Day that will decide if Trump returns to the White House. https://apnews.com/article/mcconnell-trump-biography-election-0a861001d95287e689336504abc2281f We all know what the GOP in Washington thinks of Trump, but they were all too big of cowards to do anything about. Therefore, the PEOPLE will have to take care of it assuming The Villages is unable to print enough Trump ballots
Because of this guy we are stuck with 3 Supreme Court justices appointed by a stupid and despicable person…
Of course, McConnell despises Trump. They all do. But, Trump has bullied them into submission. They are spineless cowards. And we all may end up paying for their cowardice with America's first fascist dictatorship, with an addled 78 year old moron in charge.
Even for you this doesn't make sense. Did you just decide to go to totally random responses depending on what tweet or video you stumbled across? On balance, that might be a more effective form of communication.
rt I agree with all you say, but at the end of the day, we need to look in the mirror as Americans and realize just how much trouble this country is in. If Trump wins it's a catastrophe, plain and simple, but even if Harris wins, I suspect the margins will be razor thin. Biden only won the popular vote by 7 million. I suspect Harris if elected will not exceed that number and may be thinner. My point is, just how LUNATIC is the body politic of the United States? The GOP has been ransacked by the most odious voter block imaginable. I mean lunatic, racist haters that have no moral compass. Its hard to fathom that so many Americans are so blinded by whatever motivates them, to put such an egregious self serving narcissist into power. For me, I liken it to Weimar Germany and the USA is not in a great depression. Literally EVERY non MAGA GOP leader or person in a position of significant influence in the 2016 administration is warniing the country that this man is not fit for office, yet polls suggest this election is neck and neck and may very well go in the GOP's direction. I don't think Trump wants to use the military to sieze lands outside of the US borders but he damn sure wants to shred the constitution, American foreign policy, and the rights of Citizens outside of his supporters. His 2025 agenda is social re-engineering with a severe racist and religous bent. I'm glad I'm 65, of course I may lose SS and Medicare if Trump wins. The point is, this country is in serious trouble, no matter if Harris wins or not.
The right wing danger remains. But we have a far better chance of digging ourselves out of this with Harris.
Well I agree with that, thats why Im sending my State of PA Senator and Congressional persons running this cycle all the campaign money I am able to muster, and of course I will be pulling the lever Nov 5th.
