Name some. He is qualified as far as coaching goes. Good offensive mind, has coached in the SEC for many years. People too hung up on his past, if this is the case our pool for candidates is much smaller.

 

This, it's happening in all sports contracts. I keep seeing NFL guys being guaranteed hundreds of millions and think, when did the players and coaches gain this massive upper hand in contract negotiations?

Hey, I guess whatever you do in the privacy of your own home is your business.

 

I was just wondering how many of those ooc games we had scheduled out years in advance were still on. We canceled cal and Texas (obviously a conf game now)

 

Arizona St, Colorado and ND are still on, for now. Clearing the deck for a 9 game conference schedule and some sort of SEC/B1G challenge, it appears.

 

Then our pool of possible candidates is much smaller.

I think Lane understands the Xs and Os but he still does not understand the should and should nots. And that is unacceptable to our Board of Trustees.

We can find plenty of others if we are willing to pay.

Our adminstration and Board of Trustees is pretty adamant on this.

That is why they went with Napier. He is considered a high caliber individual who knows Xs and Os.

Do not be surprised if he does well the rest of the season that he gets another year or two.

We will have to wait and see.

very late to the party to get the facilities and housing for players up to speed. Muschamp and McElwain (remember Mac calling out the admin after the Outback Bowl win in 2017) complained about it (team use to have to practice in the arena when it was raining because we had no indoor practice facility).

admins drug their feet to embrace NIL while other schools hit the ground running

recently a former player (i forgot who, i’ll try and find the tweet) wanted to donate to the NIL but SS was tryna get that player to donate to stadium renovations instead.

 

it worries me that our admin believes Napier is an X’s and O’s guy.

Our board of trustees? Lmao. They have no integrity. They hired Sasse who was an abjectly unqualified political choice candidate. If they can approve him what the hell do they care about Lane?

 

First thing I thought about. OSU guy and a popular one at that. I'm guessing if he wanted to deal with the college mess at all it would be at OSU otherwise he's an NFL guy.

 

Well if the Board of Trustees is involved in picking our football coaches we are probably screwed. Their recent history is not comforting. Of course they aren't going anywhere so I will just hope you are incorrect.

How many schools you know that are going broke paying them? None. Says a lot about the money involved.
