1st commit, got a text from a friend at the school letting me to relax some..Kelly Rae and staff playing things close to vest but still working the trail hard.
I made a new thread for this season and coming recruiting so everyone can differentiate and jump right to 2024-25.
yeah I got a call about 20 minutes ago about it, hoping it is not true. Been told this might be NIL related..not sure though
this would do just immense damage to the team, they literally didnt go after many PGs hard because this was our woman. Very damaging if true and a reason you should always over recruit. Never can have too many players I will just say watch the breadcrumbs if this is true. She has to have 1 school in mind if she does this and they have to have tampered with her.
This is why it is a huge mistake to have a roster and not use all your scholarships. Liv is great but we are going to have a freshmen PG. Not to mention we lose a good bulk of the team this year. Kelly has her work cut out on the trail and on the court this season.
So which SEC rival does she go to just in time to be eligible for the spring semester that needs a PG and has big NIL pockets and invests in women's basketball? I would like to say I am being just tongue in cheek, but this is the new reality in D1 athletics.
Ugh. We need some rule changes, FAST. She should be required to sit out for a full year from the date of transfer.
It's like her 3rd transfer so honestly we shouldn't be all that surprised other than timing. The problem is we have zero depth and experience at PG because we underrecruit.
I am shocked by the timing, right before the season starts? Teams have had to see what they are really lacking and then reaching out. I am trying to find out if there was something that us as a university and her had an issue with to send the relationship south. She was so active just a few weeks ago with recruiting and being active for teem activities around campus
Please please please let the sort out favorably. I'd like the Lady Gators to have a little positivity and hope. Matharu is lead dog.
