Jadan Baugh looks like a real keeper. Someone said he reminded them of C4, what a great back he was. His style reminds me of Alabama RB T.J. Yeldon. Baugh is going to be a star at UF, imho.

RB depth is getting tested. Good thing it's about as deep a position as we got.

Nico is getting exposed for his poor pocket presence…he’s very talented but he gets sacked way too much. Some of that is on the O line some is on Nico. I understand this is his first season starting, but he has to be better.

Tennessee has the potential to beat Bama and UGA if we play well. We also have the potential to lose to Vandy and Kentucky this year if we don’t play well.

I would say Tennessee ends the season 9-3/8-4

Hopefully Nico grows up a lot this year because he shows flashes of being spectacular. He just needs to be more patient and more consistent.

I think your Gators win more 2 games if your defense continues to play like that.

UF's defensive performance is pretty much mirror image of last year, so I don't take much from it other than I expected Nico to be more dangerous to UF than Milton. UK's Stoops has Napier's number, so i think 1 more win for UF is about it unless surprisingly gifted a win. Thanks for your candor. Given another year, I think you could be happier with results on the field, but ultimately like UF has to do this year, you will need to move on for a higher ceiling. Heupel has done a good job stabilizing.

What is telling is Billy wouldn’t be hired as an OC at any school.

Unfortunately "soon" would have been last year. Now the program is stuck in coaching limbo land. An epic fail in the position of HC/OC and no clear path forward. Fire him now or later? Is it 4 wins and 2 respectable losses or 6 wins that saves his job? Meanwhile Stricklin sits in his office and mumbles to himself as he deals with the program paralysis that he has engineered. And BN would not be "a great Bowden/Paterno figurehead coach" by simply giving up the role of OC. Geez, he can't even manage the clock or game situations, often looks lost, and his assistants routinely muck up assignments. The situation reminds me of a famous line and I paraphrase, "He is who we thought he was". The first half of the UT game is absolutely and clearly a declaration of who BN is and we've been watching this same movie for nearly three years. Nothing has changed. I would say its time to fish or cut bait but I'm not sure that metaphor works and maybe what it means is I'll do both for the rest of my Saturdays until someone smarter than me figures it out. Go Gators.

*sigh* my point is that im not saying he would become Bowden/Paterno, just that he would be better if he did not have the extra duties of being the OC and QB coach

Look at the snap count, less rotation on both defense and offense, we are playing much better with less rotation especially on defense.

He’s got too much on his plate for sure. While he may have some things in place, he too slow of a thinker to try to control so much.

He's done a good job bringing in talent (except the Lines) and modernizing the program. If he would have brought in an OC and the defense continues its improvement he would have salvaged his job even with the losses to Miami and aTm. I agree he could be a good head coach if he got out of his own way but he probably lost this game in the worst possible way short of getting blanked in a blowout because it put him as an OC and game manager on blast with neon lights. He couldn't have had a worse performance.

Which on field goal? The one that didn't count because we had 12 men on the field, and we never saved a time-out to keep from getting a 10-second runoff? The timeout could have saved us from having them nullify our 3 point make?

Yes, I am sure watching competent coaches speaking after games is exciting... for a change.

Guess it’s taken sunbelt Billy 2.5 years to figure out that your best players need to get the bulk of snaps. If only he had realized he is not a good OC!
