ANOTHER republican assassination attempt against Trump stopped

    It seems another possible assassination attempt on Trump was stopped. Police at a check point at a Trump rally Coachella stopped a heavily armed man with fake press and VIP passes ... why is the right so violent?

    Edit: Something doesn't sound right here. According to the article, he told police he planned to "kill the president", but it also says he was released on $5000 bail and won't have a hearing until January.

    “We probably stopped another assassination attempt,” Riverside County sheriff Chad Bianco said.

    A Las Vegas resident, 49-year-old Miller “was taken into custody without incident and later booked at the John J. Benoit Detention Center for possession of a loaded firearm and possession of a high-capacity magazine,” the sheriff’s office said in a news release on Sunday. “This incident did not impact the safety of former President Trump or attendees of the event.”

    Miller was apprehended about 30 minutes before Trump’s Calhoun Ranch rally, near Coachella, began. Bianco told the Epoch Times that police “arrested a man trying to get in the perimeter with two firearms who ended up saying he was going to kill the president.” Miller posted $5,000 bail, was released, and will appear at the Indio Larson Justice Center on January 2 of next year.

    According to the Riverside Press-Enterprise, Vem Miller is a registered Republican with a master's degree from UCLA. He ran for the Nevada state assembly in 2022 and is affiliated with a right-leaning anti-government group.

    They stopped running busses after that rally. Thousands of people were stranded and had to walk two hours back to their cars.

    Yeah, something doesn't add up with that part. He "expressed intent to kill" but was basically let go?

    He told the cops about the guns---this falls under the no big deal category in reality.

    Miller did not immediately respond to requests for comment Sunday night but told the Press-Enterprise that he had the guns only for his own safety. He told the Southern California newspaper that he supports Trump and notified police at a checkpoint that guns were in his trunk as a courtesy.

    “I’m the last person that would cause any violence and harm to anybody,” Miller told the newspaper.

    Miller is scheduled to appear in court in January, according to jail records.

    I'd really like an explanation on why the sheriff said they "probably stopped an assassination attempt" and the National Review reported he expressed his intent to kill Trump ... this seems like fake news. He said the press IDs were legit, but he uses different names and keeps a gun in his trunk because he's afraid people are trying to kill him.

    He ran on the maga ticket in 22 in Nevada. The guy is all Trump.

    Trump will likely bill it as attempt #3.

    I think the sheriff is trying to get some attention. Perhaps angling for an administration job if Trump were to win?
