Who was the 12th guy? We were supposed to lose by 15 and lost in overtime by 6. For a loss, I say that’s good.
This was not a good loss. A very bad loss in fact. This game should have been out of reach at the half. He coached us into a loss. Put any coach with a killer mentality in the same position and they win that game by 30.
Don’t even need a coach with a killer mentality. Just a middle of the road coach would have won that game.
Because our offensive genius refuses to hire an offensive coordinator like every other successful coach in recent history and do his actual job.
It was a good game for the players as individuals. They executed well and did what they had to. Unfortunately the coaching staff made sure there was no chance of success with many questionable and some downright terrible decisions.
Evidently, we had an injured player we substituted for and the injured player didn't come off. Thats got to be on the st coach for not noticing. The player is an idiot. How do you not know that? And don't say coaching. Any college football player should know better. Our special teams has been so good this year but still one play can make you look stupid
Coach Napier, why weren't you up 17-0 at the half like Vandy would have? Coach, why does it seem you are better at fixing defenses than running an offense? I could come with a few more but these are the 2 I would have asked him.
Yep, top ranked opponent, at their home field, and with Billy Napier on their own sideline. Too much adversity to overcome.
Talk about pulling defeat from the jaws of victory, this game was it. Feel so bad for the players, the effort was there.
Coach, what was your logic for not challenging that obviously short spot in the Tennessee red zone and then getting cute on 4th and inches instead of just bulling ahead with your huge friggin QB?
I think Roberts was on the sideline calling plays and Armstrong was in the box. I believe they switched but I still think Roberts is calling plays, at least that’s what the pundits are saying.
Main problem, besides our OC, is the O line, it's always the O line. They look big enough to get the job done maybe they need more coaching and practice.
You ae being way too nice in giving Napier the credit for the improvement for the defense we saw last night. I believe Armstrong deserves a shout out on this item. Please note that it took three games to force Napier into have Armstong to call the Defense.
BN looks and sounds like a dead man walking. That's why his job security isn't brought up anymore. He knows he is out the door.
Agree. We should have been up 20-0 at the half. Vols probably rally in the 2nd half, but this should have been at the least a 10 point victory for us. A competent coach wins that game.
