The Canadian site is itself disinformation. Lie after lie presented as "facts."

NATO is not a purely defensive organization. Per Swiss geopolitical analyst Jacques Baud, who worked for NATO, NATO wanted Putin out of office and it had the objective of splitting Russia into as many as 32 different countries.

There is no evidence Putin wanted to annex all of Ukraine.

Russia annexed Ukraine because they need the warm water port of Sevatopol. Russia had a long lease on that port and the lease was in jeopardy after the US got rid of the democratically elected president of Ukraine, who was friendly with Russia. The new president was hostile to Russian speakers so the Russian-speakers declared their independence. Contrary to what the left-wing Canadian website says, Russia annexed Crimea legally.

I could debunk just about everything on the Canadian site. It reads like it was written by a high-school kid.

You are a Russian stooge. Ukraine voted overwhelming to separate after the Soviet collapse. Putin is on record stating many times he wants to reconstitute the Soviet empire. It started with Crimea. Ukraine was supposed to be next. Hasn't quite worked out as planned.

And I notice you didn't respond to the fact the CP5 collectively has 34 less felony convictions as Trump. But you still insist they are guilty?

Trump committed no felonies. Even a Democrat like Dershowitz (now a former Democrat) could tell you that. Trump's bookkeeper entered payments connected to an NDA as legal fees because that was the best option on a drop down menu on a bookkeeping program. BTW, how could those payments have been meant to sway the election when the payments were maid after the election took place?

The Central Park 5 participated in a vicious assault that left a lady with a crushed cheekbone and exploded eyeball. She suffered a tremendous loss off blood and was left for dead. Your team seems to think a great injustice was done by putting these young men in jail.

Putin became president in 2000 and he hasn't invaded any country unless provoked.

Your claim that Putin has stated many times thst he wants to reconstitute the Soviet empire is false. As Stephen F. Cohen RIP, professor emeritus of Russian Studies at Princeton and NYU stated many times, Putin said it was a great tragedy that when the USSR broke apart many Russian-speakers were left behind in former Soviet countries and found themselves to be an oppressed minority (for example in Ukraine)
Putin's statement was mistranslated and misunderstood per Stephen F. Cohen. Other top shelf geopolitical thinkers like Jaques Baud, Gregory Copley and John Mearsheimer, Andrei Martyanov and Scott Ritter have made this same point, if memory serves.

Seems to me that you've been brainwashed somewhat by the neocon information war/psyops directed at Americans and others. Sorry this happened to you.

Another fact free post. Daniels was paid by Cohen before the election. In Trump repaying Cohen, Trump cooked his books. A jury found Trump guilty of 34 felonies in this case.

The CP5? Completely exonerated of what you claim they did. DNA evidence doesn't lie. And today, not a single CP5 member has a single felony to his name.

As for Putin, his annexation of Crimea was not legal. But it's convoluted. 90% of Ukraine voted to separate. The majority of separatists live in the Crimea area.

Since Putin took Crimea, the plan has always been take Kyiv. And then on to the other former Soviet states.

You have bought the Russian propaganda.

How is it that the guy backing Russia’s unprovoked invasion is calling other people “war pigs”?

I'm forgetting the details of Trump's New York case but I think paying money for an NDA is completely legal. The bookkeeping entries were a trivial matter and could not be election interference if they occurred after the election. Dershowitz said this was the weakest case he has seen in 60 years. The feds didn't want to prosecute so somehow the state prosecuted a fed law violation? Seems weird. Jury decision will be overturned

Regarding the Central Park 5 they were obviously guilty according to their own uncoerced confessions and other eyewitness testimony. Ann Coulter has the details
Central Park Rapists: Trump Was Right - Ann Coulter
And as I've said, watch their confessions and you'll know their guilt. The CP5 were accused of many crimes, not just rape. DNA testing was new in 1989 and evidence was not always carefully collected

You said "DNA evidence doesn't lie." If that is true wlhow can you get 3 different results from the same DNA sample given to 17 different labs? The New Scientist experiment:
Fallible DNA evidence can mean prison or freedom

Turns out DNA testing can be quite subjective.

Crimea was annexed legally. The way Ukraine got Crimea in 1954 might not have been legal, however.
The dominant language of Crimea is Russian. The people voted to leave after the friendly to Russian-speakers president of Ukraine was removed by the US and replaced by a man who was hostile to Russian-speakers. Don't blame Putin, blame the US

The Biden administration is leading the world to the brink of WWIII, but Trump fingered a woman thirty years ago and now she says she didn’t like it. Article …

Far from being outraged by the Israeli atrocities, the U.S. government is satisfied to see Israel take revenge for the many humiliations that the United States has suffered in the Middle East, most recently in the disorderly and disgraceful pull-out from Afghanistan but going back, say, 40 years to the hostage taking at the American embassy in Teheran by the new revolutionary Iranian leadership there that overthrew the American backed Shah.

The jury in Trump's hush money case disagrees with you. And the CP5 confessions were a classic case of scared kids saying anything after hours and hours of interrogation just to make it stop. It's a torture technique that is fallible and why police don't employ this tactic anymore. Sleep deprived, scared, and intimidated people will say anything to end their current ordeal, factual or not. It's a form of torture.

As for eyewitnesses, they can place the CP5 in the Park, which is true. But can anyone claim the CP5 attacked the woman? No. And again, zero hard evidence, including DNA, places the CP5 anywhere near the victim. No hair. No fingerprints. Nothing.

In 1954, Ukraine was part of the Soviet Union! And for reasons still unknown, the USSR transferred Crimea to the Ukraine. It is akin of the US transferring land between states. Still part of the same country, but now under a different state. Nothing illegal about the 1954 Crimean transfer.

Again, the fact that 90% of Ukraine voters in 1992 voted to become independent again should mean something. And yes, back then, Crimea was part of Ukraine, even though ethnically, Crimea is about 3:1 Russian to Ukrainian. And the majority of the 10% no vote came from Crimea. Still, what right to Putin have to invade and take Crimea in 2014? None. Just like he has no right to try and take Kyiv and absorb Ukraine back into a Russian state.

Alternatively, this could be Putin saying to US “Hey, if you can expand 16 nations to the East, why can’t I expand a sliver to the West ?”

But since I know Putin is not allowed to have his reasons, at some point you have to acknowledge that so much we see on Too Hot are impotent rantings and election denialism.

Obviously, you omitted Russia starting and waging a vicious, deadly, illegal war in Ukraine.

You forgot about its forces creating bloody havoc all over' including in Syria and throughout the Middle East, not to mention its warring throughout the continent of Africa.

Or its arming of terrorist organizations all over the globe.

And let’s not forget it’s massive hacks and social media strikes into the governance of western nations. Such a peace-loving country.

And what peace-loving country that sends it pilots to the rim of the borders of other countries, trying to provoke a shooting incident.

So, Russia wasn’t interfering in elections worldwide before then, he?

Russia wasn’t arming terrorists acrossthe globe before 2022?

Russia wasn’t warring all over Africa before 2022, eh?

Gotcha. Glad to hear of your objectivity.

    Not like us …

all three arenas – China, Ukraine and the Middle East – the US will say that it is responding to aggression. But rather than working consistently for a return to the status quo it is, in fact, raising the stakes. While insisting that it supports the rules-based order, what we are witnessing is something closer to a revival of the ruinous neoconservative ambition of the 1990s and 2000s.

Facing war in the Middle East and Ukraine, the US looks feeble. But is it just an act? | Adam Tooze
