The outcome depends on how well UT plays. UF and The Sunbelt kid are just along for the ride.

If UT pulls an Arkansas then UF 21 - 13.

    Otherwise UT 42-14.

Most yards rushing equals a win.We can keep it close if our offense does well.

This is often true when UT and UF square off. But not always. I see no chance UF out rushes the Vols. IMO any chance of winning will depend on UF pass protection and chunking it down field. There are intangibles - blocked punts (what is that stat? 80% of teams that block a punt win?), pick 6's, turnovers, injuries to QB's,
    horrendous penalty yardage.

One thing that really hurt UT was the Arkansas front four "shift" prior to the snap, that caused a BUNCH of false starts by UT and putting the Vols in a hole for first downs. Really hurt UT's QB's rhythym. Perhaps the UF defensive brain trust considers that for the upcoming game?

If they had not considered by Sunday evening, then I assure you that you won’t see it this Saturday.

But will Napier let our offense show what they CAN do? We have alot of talent at QB,RB and at wideout. Napier has to be aggresive but not stupid. We have the players on Defense to slow UT down enough.

Calls for change have not gone anywhere. They have just been polite and quiet for now. We have so much talent at RB and wideout that we can win this game if Napier disowns his own conservative poor play calling. The Defense has to slow down UT. It can be done. forgot to mention Lagways talent. He needs to play alot more imo.

Hoping for a Low Scoring game, maybe someone will fax Armstrong the plays like Zook received in 1991.

Gators 19 (4 for 4 for Smack with two over 50)
Creamsicles 10 (scoring on first drive of each half, Rocky Top barely played)

  13. No matter how frustrated I am with the Fightin’ Billy Napiers I cannot predict a loss.

Hear ya Cyber, I am a Gator Homer all the way but every way I try to break this down just does not equate to a UF victory. I've seen enough after 5 games to have a decent feel for the reality of the situation. Thus my UT 37, UF 23 prediction.

Do I want to be wrong, hell ya I do. UF's dominance over the Vols the last twenty years has been one of the great events of my life. I will happily eat all the crow Gator Nation wants to dish out if UF wins but, as per the movie, reality bites.

To be perfectly honest I think my UT 37 UF 23 prediction is a signal of the Gators at least being competitive. Deep down I am exxxtremely worried the Vols will be able to "name the score" and run the Gators out of Noxvegas on a rail.

Respectfully disagree trey65. UF's defense has been absolutely helpless against decent teams, and UF has only played two good teams. Samford was barely better than a good high school team. Check out the Miss State rushing yards, they hit what? almost 250 against UF? More?? UCF - LOL, I doubt that awful team wins 2 more games.

UT's front on defense will be as good, maybe better than the Canes, and outside Johnson's big run, they stuffed UF all game long.

Look I'm glad UF is 3 - 2 but the powder puff games are over. I want to be wrong. I do, but Saturday could get real ugly.

  16. Understandable. If I am betting money instead of likes on a forum then am making predictions similar to yours. I think your prediction is reasonable given what we have seen. There is a chance that Tennessee’s numbers are inflated by facing inferior opponents, but it is also possible Heupel is saving some plays just for Florida. Dangerous game to play. I definitely do not assume that Napier held back in the second half against UCF. It is possible that Heupel has held back against some opponents.

I want to believe that Napier and his staff can pull this off. Would be nice if our plan A is good enough, but staff's plans B&C are there if we need it. I would be so happy for the players if staff can manage to pull the upset.
