Looking at the stats, Billy got too conservative in the second half. I get that it’s easy to see, but that tempo offense disappeared and it turned into the run clock offense. What’s telling is we were balanced in the first half in run vs pass. In the second half it was 2 to 1 in run vs pass. We could’ve put it away but Billy would rather win a close one than blow someone one as scared money may lead to a potential loss.
There's something wrong with our HC. No idea what, but he doesn't seem "bright". Maybe he has an ego and wants to prove that if he runs his plays often enough, eventually it will work. If there is a deficiency or patterns of, wouldn't his analytics tell him as much? Look at the difference between he and a Steve Spurrier compared to how they were in college. Spurrier called plays that he wouldn't be afraid of and recruited guys that could play big time passing college football. I'm sure he didn't hand pick Mertz after careful deliberation because of his downfield pass accuracy and if you look up Napier's college stats, you might note similarities. Also, fwiw, Napier only played two seasons.
You're welcome, Rick, and I agree, the last video was pretty cool and I really enjoyed the various views from the ground perspective we don't usually see from our production unit. That one came from UCF Sports - so much respect to them for doing such a great job - especially as compared to ours.....
We did a hype video with a small drone once recently, and I'd love to see the University of Florida come up with another one. Bring back the drone views... Lol. On a side note: I'm watching the Smithsonian channel, and they just showed The Swamp in Gainesville... without the black moldy stands. That stadium looks like a brand-new stadium with CLEAN WHITE STEPS AND WALKWAYS... All we need to do is to pressure wash it, and some white paint... or non-slip white rubber coating.
