What was behind our seemingly better run D? Scheme, players, or opponent?

Definitely opponent imo. Way easier to scheme against a QB with limited ability to hurt you with his arm

ucf was basically one dimensional. When falling behind they lack the ability to score quickly, they simply plod along, eating clock. I believe we had enough guys up front to clog running lanes. Perhaps learned some from Colorado game.

Guys did a good job stopping their run game. Basically, their 3-stars couldn’t handle our 4-stars physically up front.

After 5 games we are still do not know much about this team. Our two loses were to teams that are pretty good and we have beaten who we should beat every year to get us to 3-2.

My guess is that the defense is at lower middle level SEC. If they can beat Kentucky maybe they are a mid level SEC team. The next two weeks will let us know.
