For the second week in a row the review crew saves Miami That was a blatant targeting not called on review Is there NIL for referees?
If it was one of our guys who made that hit, they would not only have called targeting, they would have arrested him for assault.
ACC officiating...I was told to get over the Swindle when I suggested the ACC officials favor their only cash cow. This kind of garbage is typical for them like overturning an on field call from 3 feet away with no indisputable evidence and calling a holding penalty on a perfectly executed block to call back a 70 yard TD and icing of the game. I'd flat out remove all ACC games from our schedule and point out this stuff as the reason they are removed...it's not football and it is blatant. One sided ACC officiating is a sure thing
It’s going to keep happening. I would be bias too if I was a ref and my employer would make $25 million more to get a team in playoff.
Such BS. The definition of targeting, it was called targeting on the field and the refs wipe it away. I will say, Cam Ward is amazing. Miami's recievers dropped tons of passes and he still lit it up. He's gotta be the Heisman front runner after last night. Only good thing is that nobody saw it.
Me, too. When I went to sleep, Cal had an insurmountable lead, and I had a huge smile on my face. I woke up this morning to shock as well as hangover.
Miami had 9 penalties for 110 yards called on them, Cal had 6 penalties for 43 yards. The ACC refs must have missed the memo on who they were supposed to be helping.
You can call a 5 yard penalty and change a game.... A 10 yard holding penalty last week absolutely changed Miami's outcome from loss to win. You can change a game by overturning a caught ball to uncaught ball and change a game like UM got last week with no stat showing up in the stats sheet. You can NOT call a 15 yard late hit and change a game and no stat shows up in the stat sheet but you change a loss to a win. You can point to a stat like this and it means absolutely nothing with how an officiating crew can change an outcome. Miami has benefitted from many calls or non calls which have generated wins without adding to number of penalties or yardage of those penalties. The myriad of fumbles which weren't and ones that were were the big issues in the Swindle and yet the stats were not that bad. You could make the same case for the Swindle but we all saw what the ACC crew did without adding penalty count or yardage total. You should probably sit down and watch those endings, which you obviously haven't, and then make a more informed statement. The ACC is broke and their officials know their job and do it very well and without recourse.
Cal was up by 25 at home and blew it. Blaming the refs every time a team you don’t like wins is embarrassing, have some dignity and quit making “endless excuses” for why Cal choked.
