Playoffs!!

I love baseball but am not much of a fan of the MLB. I grew up a White Sox fan and the only story I followed at all this past season was if they were going to end up worse than the 1962 Mets.

I will occasionally watch an inning or two. I might watch some of the World Series unless it is Yankees versus Dodgers. Both teams can't lose.

I have the same problem with basketball. I love the game but cannot stand the NBA. Give me college ball over that any day.

 

OK my son wanted to see the end of the Brewers/Mets game. Alanso was on deck and the Brewers up 2-0 in the ninth. I KNEW that if Pete came up with two on he was going to go yard. I have seen that movie too many times.

Harrison scored the game tying run in 7th and Pete had a sacrifice to score another in the Mets /Phillies NLDS game 1.

 

Video about the Brewers pitcher who gave up the homer to Pete possibly tipping pitches. Based on the coach talking to Pete I think it's entirely possible. Just seems like the margins for these things are ridiculously small, hitters have enough to comprehend already. In the big 4 sports hitting .300 remains the toughest "accomplishment" among something that theoretically every player could achieve.

 

Not particularly a Dodgers fan (I do like Freddie Freeman) but I am so tired of watching the showboating Padres……all their crap is just not how the game’s supposed to be played!

In our day Tatis, Jr wouldn’t have much of an ear hole left!

P.S. And those are the ugliest uniforms in baseball!

 

I’m so happy for the Mets (even though they beat my Phillies). You gotta love the underdogs. Great that they did it at home and their fans got to enjoy it. I’ll be rooting for them the rest of the way!

 

A NY Mets vs KC Royals WS would be pretty cool.

But puppy chit brown is not a doable baseball color either…..

 

Those tequila sunrise Astros uniforms were pretty bad.

 

My son has gained control of the TV remote so I have watched more playoff baseball than I planned on seeing. Maybe I watched the wrong games but to me the excitement level was pretty good but the quality of play was not all that high.

 

While I greatly enjoyed the 1963 World Series I really don't want to see a Yankees/Dodgers WS.
