There's a regular where I go to enjoy a cigar - ex-Marine, devout "Hey everybody!, I'm a Christian" type, Marine shit on his truck (what else?). I'm ex-military myself (also have a truck), and I asked him the other day why he joined the military. "To serve my country (by God)!" Not being able to help my sorry self, I responded, "Well, partner, you're serving neither the country nor Jesus by supporting Trump." The "conversation" took its predictable course and I went over and started talking to the wall, which really fired him up. He yelled for me to turn around and talk to him. I told him I was having a more intelligent conversation with the wall.

True story. Out of character for me, but it otherwise got some laughs.
