One man's opinion of his music. It sucked. He may be a good person and all but his music sucked. Did I say it sucked?
I agree on this. Love his work ethic and he seems like a great dude but I do not care for his music at all.
All over the musical spectrum. You have no clue at all. Typical of some THFSG posters. Keep on making the slighted ad hominem attacks and assumptions that's the standard around here. I did meet Kid Rock while he was on a USO tour though. Never saw Bruce do one.
I think you are the third to go there. I never said anything about Trump. I just stated that BS had nothing in common with most Americans and I didn't care who he voted for or what he thought about anything. Not sure where anyone would get the idea that I think Trump is any different. The thread was not about Trump.
Canned Trump Response in 5, 4, 3,....... "(Springsteen) seems to always endorse a Democrat, and he'll probably pay a price for it at the — in the marketplace. But, no, I like Ted Nugent," Trump said Friday. "That's the one I like, much better than Bruce Springsteen... I think he's terrific. Not Bruce Springsteen."
I just think it’s funny that you panned the Boss for being an out of touch billionaire who doesn’t relate to the average American by comparing him to Kamala when you’re going to vote for Donald Trump who is an ACTUAL out of touch billionaire. Just an astounding lack of self awareness. But you do you. It’s hilarious.
Trump is living in your head. My first post was in response to the original post that started this thread. Here is a quote from that post: "Bruce Springsteen very eloquently provides his rationale for supporting Harris-Walz. You may not like Taylor Swift, but nobody can talk down the working man himself, The Boss. Let’s Go, America!!!!" This is where I stated he was no more middle class than Kamala as he is voting for her. I also agree Trump is not middle class working person either and none of them can relate to the average working class American. The thread was about BS and how he was a working man and the Boss. You kinda did, at least it was loudly implied. Why else would you make the comment? In context, Trump runs in the hilariously phony last form that he speaks for the common man. It’s his calling card (whoch he hands out when selling his bibles). And so when you make the “common man” attack against Springsteen after endorsing Harris, it sure implies that he is unlike your guy who “understands” the common guy. At least that’s how I read your comment, fwiw.
The thread is about the Boss endorsing Harris. You said he is out of touch with the working man. That is exactly the response that your response will engender. I look at all endorsements not sure how I rank them. I have decided to vote for the candidate who believes that elections matter.
I don't follow what celebrities do or don't to tell you the truth. If he is, then it makes him a good person instead of a mediocre musician. I applaud those helping others no matter what political party they support or don't. Kudos to Bruce.
Bruce Springsteen is a rock legend. Not as big a fan of his than some but I respect his talent and the successful career he has had. That said, I could give a rat’s ass who Springsteen or any other celebrity is endorsing for president (either Trump or Harris) and for him to put out a video on social media announcing who he is supporting is a joke. Again, who cares?
Say what you want about his music or his political views, but Springsteen has been walking the walk for a long time... Some celebrities are extremely thoughtful and intelligent, and rightfully should be considered great artists. Many folks value the opinions of such people. Of course, each and all of us get to decide if that is the case, and whose opinions to value. But it sure is fun to see Trumppublicans very very sad because no artists or musicians seem to support their candidate. And they disparage celebrities as meaningless, as they vote as President someone whose only real success in life* was as a TV reality show host! Don't worry though, Trumpies, you've got the support of Kid Rock, Scott Baio, and Ted Nugent - you know, the guy who admitted to ****ing in his own pants in the draft interview in order to not be drafted during the Viet Nam war. * To be fair, he has had immense success in some areas that are outside the law. Such as money laundering.
