Let those kinds of sentences be consistently handed out and meddling in elections and failing to faithfully carry out one's constitutional duties would come to a screeching halt. I was in the car a bit so I listened to the whole sentencing. The Judge dismantled her. Is that normal on unrepentant criminals? Well deserved I’m sure.

At the very end, her defense counsel inquired as to his motion for a stay (most probably a reference to a stay of execution of sentence pending appeal.) The judge said he had denied it. Absent some appellate relief, she's most likely going to start serving her sentence now. Not to worry, Tina, you have two days credit and that comes right off those 9 years.
