As pretend AD, he was someone I had in the keep an eye on column on the proverbial list in my drawer if things went south but after the last couple weeks I think he needs a few more years of experience

I don't think Brohm is any less likely than Stoops, sure it's his alma mater but he makes a lot less than Stoops does.

This one is a tough one. If we have 100 fans I bet at least 50 different answers that are important to them. Golesh hasn’t accomplished anything and probably should be a few down the list. But at the same time, was urban a great coach when Utah hired him? Was SOS already the guy when duke hired him? If the guy is gonna be great, I don’t think it’s the worst thing getting him a year or two early.

my questions with golesh, does he have an elite offensive mind or was he riding heupels coattails? I’ve heard he is a strong recruiter, is he truly relentless? What is his defensive philosophy? How does he relate to the boosters, and how is he handling the disappointing start to their season.

I think he’s interesting though. Kiffin of course gets the first vetting, but then guys like golesh, cignetti, lashlee are all intriguing. I’m sure there are plenty more.

I like brohm, have read that SOS likes brohm. I heard he’d be willing to listen, I assume even though he’s at his Alma mater he knows he could win bigger at UF. He seems to have leveled off the last couple years. He missed a huge opportunity to win the acc last year

I think the CEO head coach days are over. Teams can move to a GM model. The head coach has to be an elite X's and O's guy who knows how to lead, motivate, evaluate, game plan. All of those are massively missing in CBN, so he has no chance of pulling us out of the hole. That is just wishful thinking if anyone in admin believes that. Complaining that the options are bad is like a bombshell sitting at home watching TV because all the good options are married. All of the best ones were nobodies at some point. Our admin had just had a terrible lack of understanding what direction football is going and hiring yesterday instead of the future.

I like Brohm as well, don't think he is looking to leave UL and he would still be down the list a bit for me.

I guess it just depends on what motivates brohm. I'm sure some will say I'm naive but I don't think money is all that matters to some people. Some people will trade a couple million for location, personal goals, etc. We aren't talking about choosing a middle income over being a millionaire. People can call b.s. but I wouldn't trade a 3 or 4 million dollar gig in a place I wanted to be for 7 or 8 somewhere I had reservations about.

Would spurrier have left florida for Miami over a couple mil?

Brohm is an interesting candidate. He not only played at UofL, but grew up there and played at one of the big football high schools there. His Dad played at UofL too.

He also turned down the opportunity to go home to Louisville the first time they asked because he felt had unfinished business at Purdue where he had no real ties. He may leave one day but not after his second year

Sure, I just don't think that rationale applies any more to Brohm than it does to Stoops.
