One columnist opinion, but three of the top 15 pitchers in the portal chose LSU, with most of the others ending up in the SEC including Cade Fisher Was disappointed Sully didn't find a Friday/Saturday guy like he did with Waldrep https://www.ncaa.com/news/baseball/...ege-baseballs-top-15-impact-transfer-pitchers
I think at this point the arms have better potential than last year. In 23/24 going into the fall we had Cags, Fisher, Neely, and plenty of new faces. There weren't very many returning arms. At least this year we've got some arms that look like starters and some other guys that's been in the system. Time will tell.
We will miss Neely. He was incredible down the stretch. That team was only a few game from winning the natty with 30 losses. Sully is the GOAT!
Brady Singer was another one that owned that gunfighter’s stare. Of course with that lethal run on his two seam FB and the ol’school ***k you and die slider, he truly commanded that presence on the mound. It’s what baseball’s greatest bring to the bump. And at the D-1 college level our Gators have been fortunate enough to have had their share.
Do not underestimate his change. It was his third pitch but often was LETHAL. Years ago at the Mac I was sitting next to a scout when Brady threw a great change up and the scout said to me "It will be a long time before you see a better collegiate change than that." I said "Come back tomorrow when Kowar pitches". He then knew that he was pawned.
