Well I can’t speak for everyone but my hybrid also runs on MAGA tears. And they were so abundant in early 2021 following the butthurt of Trump’s loss I don’t think I filled up with regular for about a year and a half. The raging pandemic might have also been a factor in less fuel use.
It's not just people, it's everything. Petroleum permeates products and manufacturing. Biden/Harris made the Keystone Pipeline completely unusable, and it will take years to rebuild it. Offshore drilling was stopped. Leases on federal lands went up in price. Anwar was closed. Just about everything Biden/Harris could do to kill off oil and gas they did. As the oil and gas professional in the article stated, it was this way until inflation went off the charts. The double edge sword. If OPEC jacks production too much and the per bbl price crashes it could cause a slowdown in US production. If I’m not mistaken they did it before and crushed the shale producers. 2016 if I recall correctly.
